A few weeks ago, we hosted our Caregiving Advocacy Conference.
We posted the conference archives which you can enjoy on your own time schedule. The archives includes an overview of preliminary results of our Dementia Care Family Support Pilot Program.
Attendees to our conference said:
“I've attended many conferences over the years. I found the Caregiving Advocacy Conference to be informative, well thought out, and professionally done. It was a pleasure attending all three days!”
“The information is helpful for me as a professional, but also resonates on a personal level, as well. It helps us feel like we aren’t alone juggling all of our plates.”
“I gained a clearer understanding in the various stages (of caregiving) and knowing they may not go in order and not rushing the process.”
During the conference we announced two new initiatives:
Core Routine Pilot Program
When I cared for my parents, I tried so hard to stick to a routine that helped me manage my stress. A caregiving experience, through, is the great routine interrupter. I think I needed support to create and maintain my routine. I’d love to find out what happens when you receive support for a routine you develop to help manage stress. Our Core Routine Pilot Program launches June 16.
Create your stress release routine from our suggestions. Receive our support to keep your routine. Join us.
Fund Family Caregivers
Buy your t-shirt for $20 and help us raise money for our Family Caregiver Relief Fund. The caregiving experience already depletes us. With more funding cuts on the horizon, the experience will just get harder. We want to be ready to help with a Family Caregiver Relief Fund.
Thanks for all you do!
