The first time my mom had cancer and I cared for her, she was treated in a large regional hospital. I found a waiting area there that was full of sunlight and works by Chagall. It was so peaceful, such a beautiful space between events. I often think of that waiting area now, caring for Mom again in a different time zone, and wish I could find such a place.

That space sounds like a place to receive quiet comfort. We have something similar in one of our local hospitals. It would wonderful if those kinds of spaces were always easily accessible for us.
